HIS DRAGON WORLD

J. Arthur Rank does not present,
But it is here,
It is still here down in the rock,
Strata wise of the ages.
The dinosaur moves, de profundis;
Damyata;
The jungle reverbrates,
Midnight in moonlight.
The ferns sway to seismic footsteps
In the windless harsh highlight
Of Helios:
Tyrannosaurus
Rex.
Six ton,
In Montana-to-be
Of blood bone and jaw,
Armor-plate rampage alive and alert
In the Upper Cretaceous,
In the millions B.C.
"His dragon world"
Overwhelms our footsteps.
Courtesy of Bradbury,
A sound of thunder ...
